About the

LASCO Chin Foundation

The LASCO Chin Foundation is a prominent philanthropic organization located in Kingston Jamaica, known for its significant contributions and impact on the local community. The foundation serves as a catalyst for positive change, addressing various social, educational, environmental and health-related issues faced by the people of Jamaica.

Over the past thirty years of operations, the LASCO Affiliated Companies has demonstrated its commitment to the development of Jamaica and the Jamaican people through its sustained charitable support in areas such as education, health, sports and the environment.

Contributions will directly support emergency food packages, assistance programs for women and children, help for small local businesses, and long-term recovery efforts aimed at rebuilding communities with resilience and dignity.

The story behind the festival

Jamaica is reeling from the devastating impact of Hurricane Melissa, a Category 5 storm that struck the island with winds reaching up to 295 km/h. Entire regions have been severely damaged: roofs were torn from homes and hospitals, roads flooded, thousands of trees uprooted. Particularly affected is the island’s western parishes, including St. Elizabeth and Westmoreland, where entire communities were submerged. More than half a million households lost power, and essential infrastructure such as roads, schools, and medical facilities suffered significant destruction. The Jamaican government has declared a state of emergency, as families face immense hardship and widespread devastation.

In response to this crisis, the artist management agency Touchroad is launching a charity streaming festival to raise urgently needed funds for those affected. The event is designed not only to showcase music and culture, but also to serve as a collective statement of solidarity with the people in Jamaica who have lost homes, livelihoods, and in many cases, loved ones.

All donations collected through the festival will be distributed locally by the LASCO Chin Foundation, an established Jamaican organization dedicated to effective and sustainable relief efforts. Contributions will directly support emergency food packages, assistance programs for women and children, help for micro and small local businesses, and long-term recovery efforts aimed at rebuilding communities with resilience and dignity.

We invite supporters, music lovers, and communities around the world to join this cause. Every contribution—big or small—has a direct impact on the lives of families who urgently need help. Together, we can make a tangible difference and offer hope in a time of deep crisis.

Please donate and help make the Touchroad Streaming Festival a beacon of care and solidarity. Thank you for standing with Jamaica.

About the founder

Tamiko Keck, born Pratt, is the founder and owner of Touchroad, the agency behind the Touchroad Streaming Festival.

Born herself in Jamaica, she is deeply connected to the situation. The hurricane’s destruction has struck her own family, giving her a painfully close perspective on the suffering endured on the island.

This fundraising initiative is therefore more than an organizational effort—it is a profoundly personal mission.
